About PAC-3

  • The PAC-3 family of missiles are combat-proven Hit-to-Kill interceptors that defend against incoming threats, including tactical ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, advanced threats and aircraft.
  • PAC-3 is combat-proven against hypersonic threats.
  • PAC-3 missiles defend against incoming threats through direct body-to-body contact delivering exponentially more kinetic energy on the target than can be achieved with blast fragmentation mechanisms.
  • Building on the combat-proven PAC-3 CRI, the PAC-3 MSE expands the lethal battlespace with a two-pulse solid rocket motor, providing increased performance in altitude and range.
  • Seventeen nations have chosen PAC-3 CRI and PAC-3 MSE to provide missile defense capabilities.
  • As demand for the world’s most advanced air defense missile continues to increase, Lockheed Martin advanced funds to increase production rates to 650 PAC-3 MSEs per year. This is an increase from the previous annual production target of 550 MSEs per year.
  • Lockheed Martin has delivered more than 1700 PAC-3 MSEs since full rate production began in 2018.
  • The PAC-3 family of missiles are true IAMD effectors integrated into Patriot, THAAD and Army IAMD/IBCS, and we continue efforts to fully integrate into the Aegis Weapon System.
  • Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control employees support PAC-3 in Chelmsford, Massachusetts; Lufkin, Texas; Grand Prairie, Texas; Camden, Arkansas.
